Accountant Senior - Finance Transformation
Reporting into the Finance Transformation team, this individual will take a key role in working across a portfolio of projects, driving analytical capabilities across the company, assisting with building analytical solutions to be used by finance, and preparing cross-divisional executive updates. The Finance Transformation Senior will work closely with the finance and technical teams to drive process and system improvements that will enable the finance organization to scale and improve in terms of efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. This individual will have the opportunity to apply business and financial expertise, interact with senior management, partner with technology and operations teams, design new processes and approaches, and contribute to the Finance organization’s strategic direction.
The Finance Transformation Senior will play a key role in supporting the transformation of the Finance function at OneMain by: analyzing and enhancing the impact of proposed and ongoing initiatives; identifying new analytical approaches to solving business issues and delivering insights; providing data analytics to support the finance function; identifying, understanding, and highlighting risks and dependencies for transformation projects; identifying and promoting additional projects that improve the Finance organization; and developing reporting views and dashboards both against project progress and broader financial metrics. This position requires knowledge of system administration, data integration, metadata management, but also familiarity with accounting and finance.
This individual will assist finance systems with providing administrative support for the Oracle Fusion ERP Procurement module, will be responsible for creating/managing reports generated from Oracle ERP using FDI/OTBI to assist internal businesses with analytics and will support the key business partners (such as insurance) with systemic integration efforts and enhancements related to new products and servicing of existing products.
In the Role
Build out recommendations on incremental data that could better inform financial analyses.
Mapping and assessing current state of teams, systems, and processes, aiming to identify pain points and inefficiencies.
Design more streamlined and value-added go-forward processes.
Lead meetings with key stakeholders to drive projects forward.
Create dashboards to share progress and insights with management.
Lead report enhancement projects to create, maintain, and update Dashboards, CubeViews, and Forms.
Define test plans and test scripts to be used in IT and business user testing.
Participate in the design, building, training and roll out of new modules or custom solutions.
Collaborate with various organizations (Accounting, FP&A, Financial Systems) throughout the company on metadata management.
Develop training materials and train end users.
Develop and maintain data sources, business rules, transformation rules and workflow profiles.
Troubleshoot system errors and document consistent problems for future enhancement(s).
Follow IT change management, incident management, and support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.
Perform testing and documentation of application upgrades.
Participate in ad-hoc system optimization projects as required or assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher - Accounting, Finance, MIS preferred
3+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, MIS, and/or System administration
Flexibility to handle multiple projects and changing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and able to drive change, identify and resolve issues, and effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
Great team player, willingness to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
Preferred
CPA or CPA candidate
Technical experience in designing, maintaining & implementing financial system solutions based on business requirements
Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP (including reporting tools, FDI and OBTI), OneStream, SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, Essbase, VB Script, Visio
Experience in the Financial Services industry
